9/11/2012 Commemoration

Each year, Bensenville Community Public Library, Illinois, as part of Libraries Remember, holds a commemorative service to remember 9/11. It is a beautiful service, focused this year oncourage.

For details of this extraordinary 24 hour program, Libraries Remember 2012 “COURAGE”, please contact the library at 630-766-4642.
On 9/11/2006, I had the honor to share my Holocaust story with thousands of participants via a video teleconference hook-up. This year, I am doubly honored to speak on the evening of Tuesday, 9/11, at the Bensenville Library itself. The program, entitled, An Evening with Marion Blumenthal Lazan. is scheduled to begin at 7;30pm in the Lifelong Learning Center. In the Adult Services Area.

A book signing and reception will follow the presentation, at which time we can connect with one another.Hope to see many of you who reside in this area of Illinois sometime during this time frame.

We will arrive in Bensenville on Sunday, September 9th, leaving Monday, September 10th open for an additional school presentation.

We do realize this is rather short notice, but often times, short notice works even better than long-range planning. So – if your school is within an hour’s drive of Bensenville, and you might entertain the thought of a visit, please call me, ASAP, and we can discuss. My phone number is 516-374-5958, and my cell is 516-641-7713.

My heartfelt thanks go to Jill Rodriguez, Library Director, for inviting me to Bensenville, and for all the work that she and her capable and dedicated staff are doing to make this a meaningful and important 2012 9/11commemoration.
Hugs,
Marion
